Barry Dorling founded the company in Bacton, Suffolk in 1968 and began with a single drop side Transit operating from the family farm. Among his first contracts were deliveries of newspapers to newsagents, and game for restaurants in and around London. From the very beginning, the business was focused on time sensitive deliveries, and Barry soon gained a reputation for going the extra mile to deliver the goods on time.

As the fleet expanded over the years, the company became equipped to deal with larger consignments, and started moving a wide variety of goods, from flour to flowers. With a larger fleet, we were able to deal with general haulage whilst still keeping vehicles 'standing by' for certain customers who demanded immediate transport at very short notice.

Today, after more than 40 years of trading, the company is still wholly owned and run by the Dorling family, and still as the same approach to urgent and specialist haulage.
